She is a Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She has previously worked for over 11 years at private and public settings at Royal North Shore Hospital, NorthSide Private Hospital, Concord Hospital and Campbelltown Hospital, where she treated patients across a broad spectrum of mental health conditions across all age groups. Dr Punj specialises in treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, perinatal mental health issues, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and psychotic disorders amongst other mental health conditions.
Dr Punj is recognised for her empathic demeanour and quality of care for all her patients. In addition to evidence-based treatment with medications, her model of care emphasises on psychological interventions such as supportive, cognitive behavioural therapy and family therapy.
